Give your health and energy a brazilian boost. Acai is a dark purple berry from deep in the jungles of Brazil. Natives there have long prized its health and energy boosting properties. Sound familiar? if the whole native thing isn’t enough for you to go on, studies suggest the acai berry packs a mean antioxidant punch ( 10x the antioxidant power of red grapes). Delivering a potent 1000 mg of vitamin c, 32 active mineral complexes and a bunch of energy-boosting b vitamins. Emergen-C acai berry comes in a handy, mixable powder which, wouldnt you know it, tastes mighty good.

This is for people like me who did not read the description, that was not there. THIS IS FLAVORED. It does not contain Acai Berry. This flavor is not the best.

I thought it would be more like a blackcurrant flavor but it’s worse. Like the previous reviewer, I think that the lemonade and raspberry flavors are much better.

On the other hand, it seems to do what it says it will do… I didn’t get my usual pneumonia last winter, probably because I kept this and the lemonade flavor in my desk at work and had one a day.

And you gotta love that this is half the price of anywhere else!

This product has the same effect true to the Emergen-C product line, and tastes fine but smells quite unpleasant. I normally prepare my Emergen-C packets with hot water vice cold because I’m not huge on the fizzy effect which goes away using hot water, and when I’m feeling like I’m about to get a cold or get sick, the warmth of the drink is soothing. When I first prepared this drink, my family INSTANTLY began searching around the house because they were convinced that my cat had urinated somewhere in the room… I thought it might have been a possibility, too, until I took some in to my office. Again, my co-workers expressed that it smelled foul, like an animal had urinated somewhere on the floor. Eventually, they walked over to my cube and after sniffing at my coffee mug with Acai Berry flavored Emergen-C in it, found the culprit. Maybe it only smelled like this because I make it with hot water, but I won’t be bringing this flavor to work any time soon… Bottom line: It works, it tastes fine, it just doesn’t smell great.

I drink my Emergen-C packets fairly concentrated (i.e. 6 ounces of water, maybe more), and like other reviewers here, the Acai smell is rancid. Thus, the taste was also disgusting to me. Try a packet first (my coworker gave me a few packets), then if you really want 36 more, then buy it. After trying some others, I’ll stick with Orange or Tangerine.
