After you understand the formula, it is not difficult to calculate BMI, we only need to divide our weight with height square, or in simple term kg/m2. First, measure your height in meters then square it, it simply means take the number of meters times itself. Next, divide the number with your weight, in kilograms.

In this example, you only need to lose around 11 pounds (5 kilograms) of your weight to get yourself out from the obese range, and to be able to have an ideal weight, you need to lose around 42 pounds.
